He married Nancy C. Lamb Jan. 19, 1871 - four children Mrs. Ida Chandler, Mr. James Allen, Mrs. Anna Dean, and Mrs. Minnie Chandler.
He is buried in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Crittenden Co., Ky.

John G. Arons (Aarons)   was born in Crittenden County, Ky. abt. 1841. In 1860 he was living with the H. Blackburn family in Caldwell County working as a farmhand.
He enlisted as a Private in Co. E, 20th Ky. Infantry U.S. at Smithland, Ky. on Oct. 13, 1861.
He is described in regimental records as having blue eyes, light hair and standing 5 feet and 7 1/2 inches tall.
He was a farmer at the time of his enlistment.
He was promoted to corporalon March 17, 1862. He was later promoted to sergeant on Sept. 1, 1864.
He was mustered out of the service at Louisville, Ky. on Jan. 17, 1865.

Anderson Avitts was born March 14, 1843 in Hardin Co., Illinois, the son of William H. and Tabitha Brown Avitts.
He served as a Corporal in Co. E, 48th Illinois Infantry.
He enlisted as a Private on November 17, 1861. He was mustered out as a Corporal on August 15, 1865. He died
at Weston, Crittenden County on November 27, 1877.
He is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

T.T. Barnett  was born in Crittenden County, Kentucky on October 6, 1838, the son of P.C. and Jeanette Threlkeld.
He was educated in local schools and the Cumberland Presbyterian College in Princeton.
He enlisted July 1, 1861 in the 3rd Kentucky Infantry CSA.
He was promoted to Major in the fall of 1862 and in the spring of 1863 promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and served in that position until the close of the war.
He participated in the battles at Shiloh, Corinth, Vicksburg, Baton Rouge, Port Hudson, Paducah and Guntown.
He married January 27,1875 to Miss J.L. Hibbs, daughter of Lacy and Emma Branch Hibbs.
J.L. was born in Arkansas in the fall of 1849.
They have one child, L.J.
T.T. was a farmer.

L.F. Bennett  was born in Henry County, Tennessee, October 17, 1848, the son of Larkin and Harriett Wheeler Bennett. At the age of fifteen he enlisted in Company H, 7th Kentucky Infantry. Owing to his young age he acted as an orderly for his Colonel. He served in the war for one year and on his return, went to work in Caldwell County, near Fredonia as a farm laborer for about a year. He then engaged in merchandizing either as a clerk or proprietor. He had businesses at Fredonia, Dycusburg, Crittenden Springs, and Paducah. He married May 21, 1872 to Annie P. Yancy. She was born May 26, 1851. They had four children: Leon (November 11, 1874-November 29, 1880), Edmonia born February 20, 1877, Clifton born April 12, 1880, and Cron born February 7, 1885
