Inducted into the army on July 29, 1942 at Evansville, Indiana.
Attached to Company D 800th  MP Battalion, during WWII
Served in Australia, the Philippines, and occupation of Japan after it's surrender
Awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 1 bronze star, the Philippine Liberation ribbon, a good conduct medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
Honorably discharge on January 12, 1946 from Camp Atterbury, Indiana
