Tennie Vanzant
75, Cadiz
Funeral services for Tennie Vanzant, 75, of Cadiz, were conducted on December
14, 2002, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Rev. Jim Shuck and Rev. James Bush officiated the services. Burial followed
in Siloam Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mr. Vanzant died on December 11 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, in Hopkinsville,
of natural causes.
Mr. Vanzant was born on October 16, 1927, in Trigg County. He was the son
of the late Paul McKinley and Eufaula Alexander Vanzant.
Mr. Vanzant was a farmer and a member of Siloam United Methodist Church in
Trigg County.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Jimmie Adams of Cadiz;
a nephew and niece-in-law, James and Karen Adams of Cadiz; a niece, Debbie
Killebrew of Hopkinsville; a great-niece, Sarah Whitney Adams of Cadiz; two
great-nephews, James Adams III of Cadiz, and J.P. Proffitt.
Pallbearers were Kendall Alexander, Kevin Alexander, James Adams III, J.P.
Proffitt, Skeets Houchins and Jason Hawkins.
Honorary Pallbearers were Mike Lane, Tony Lane, Bill Cain, Robert Brent Gray,
Marcellious Alexander, Rick Cunningham, Steve Boyd, Ricky Clark, Scotty Gray,
Joe Lee Terrell, Lewis McCormick, Don Perkins, Mark Nichols and Donnie Adams.
Music was provided by Lou Cain, pianist, and Sheila Lancaster, vocalist.
