ALFRED REDICK
CADIZ, Ky. -- Services for Alfred "Shorty" Redick, 81, Detroit, Mich., formerly
of Trigg County, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethesda United Methodist
Church with the Rev. James Bush officiating.
Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, Trigg County. Visitation will be after
4 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
He died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at his home of natural causes.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Jan. 6, 1920, the son of the late James
Clarence "Jim" and Lallie Lurline Sanders Redick. He was a retired brickmason
and worked at an automobile factory. He was a World War II Navy veteran and
a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Alexander Redick; three sons, John Wesley
Redick, Bowling Green, James Harvey Redick, Hartland, Mich., Jeffrey Alexander
Redick, Clarkston, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Connie Sue) Pickett, Cadiz;
three sisters, Dardanella Durham, Dexter, Margaret Lancaster, Lamasco, Betty
Minton, Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
