Old Citizen Dead
Long Illness Results in Death of Benjamin P. Mitchell
Mr. Benjamin P. Mitchell, a prominent old citizen of the Cerulean Springs,
district, died Tuesday afternoon at his home after a lingering illness of
several months from tuberculosis. He was seventy years of age, and
is survived by two daughters -- Mrs. James Balentine and Mrs. Elijah Ladd.
Mr. Mabry Mitchell, of this city, and Mrs. Mary Hanberry, of Bethesda, and
Mrs. Mary Hanberry, of Bethesda, are the surviving brother and sister.
Mr. Mitchell was a strict member of the Baptist church, and was a
good and kind citizen who had many friends. Buried took place yesterday
at the Curling grave-yard near Bethesda.
