At this time in our history, the county was prospering from the lead and zinc mines located in the county.
This picture shows one of the busy days when the mines were sending in their wagon loads of zinc and mineral to
the town depot where it would be loaded and shipped out by train.
The old courthouse is in the background of the picture, and on the left is the first Farmers Bank and Trust Co. building.
