Bellview was a small village near the Trigg County line. It was on one of the principal highways of Christian county running westward to Eddyville. In the days of its prosperity it had two or three stores, a Baptist church, a school, a blacksmith's shop and two doctors. When a new railroad was built from Clarksville it marked the beginning of the end of Belleview. Now Belleview is only a memory for the old citizens of that part of the county as there is nothing to show where it was located.
