First wife, Mamie Belle Carroll Myers died in 1937. Second wife, Polly Carroll Myers died in 1972.

Myers of Tucson, Ariz.; three daughters, Lucille Davidson of Livona, Mich., Joyce Slaughter of Elkton and Barbara Southan of Christian Co.; two stepdaughters, Miss Tammy Renee Sisk of Hopkinsville and Miss Mary Johnson of Christian Co.; two stepsons, Raymond E. Johnson of Christian Co. and James McAllister of Hopkinsville; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.

JAMES C. MYERSJAMES C. MYERS, 45, 733 Main St., died suddenly Sunday afternoon, while at work at Paducah Marine Way.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 127.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. ELLEN MYERS; a daughter, Mrs. PATRICIA LEIGH; his mother, Mrs. BERTHA KYERS of Paducah; two sisters, Mrs. WAYNE LONG of Carterville, Ill., and Mrs. HARRY HINCHCLIFF of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, GEORGE MYERS of Paducah; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Perkins Atherton, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joe Hutchens, George

Succumb to Attack of Inflammation Of Stomach
Mr. John A. Myers, a well known farmer who lived near Herndon died Friday night, after an illness of only a few days of inflammation of the stomach. Mr. Myers was about fifty five years old and leaves several children, all grown. He was a man held in the highest esteem by all his neighbors and in his death that neighborhood has lost one among his best citizens.

Born 23 October 1890 in Christian Co., daughter of W. I. and Amanda Putman Scates.
Many years ago, she and her late husband, Ernest Myers, owned and operated Myers Funeral Home in Crofton. She was a member of the Crofton Christian Church. In addition to her husband, one daughter Mrs. Mary Catherine Wilson and one son Earl Myers preceded her in death.
Survivors: son, Dr. James R Myers of Whittier, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Cansler of Hopkinsville; one brother, R. W. Scates of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

MARY MYERSGraveside services for Mary C. Myers, 89, Highland Springs, Va., formerly of Hopkinsville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday (October 24, 1996) at Riverside Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim McKenzie officiating.
There will be no visitation. Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She died Sunday, October 20, 1996 at her home.
A native of Christian County, she was born June 8, 1907, daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Casey Clark. She was an office worker for the State of Kentucky, a member of First Baptist Church and the widow of Ernest Myers.
Survivors include a daughter, Joann Adams, Highland Springs; a brother, J.W. Casey, Sparta, Tenn.; a sister, Nancy Tresch, Hopkinsville; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Born 24 August 1866, son of S. H. and Salina J. Myers.
Operated a farm on the Greenville Road, for many years was an active worker in the Democratic party. Member of the Dogwood Baptist Church.
Survivors: widow; son, N. F. Myers of Hopkinsville; daughter, Mrs. Sidney Gross of Nashville, Tn.; a brother, H. C. Myers of Christian Co.; and a sister, Mrs. S. T. Fruit of Hopkinsville.

WILLIS RAY MYERSWillis Ray ‘'Bill'' Myers, 73, Johnson Mill Road, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at the Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, following a brief illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lamb Funeral Home, with the Rev. A.J. Outland officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until time for the funeral.
A native of Christian County, he was born Dec. 31, 1925, the son of the late Ross and Mary Underwood Myers. He was a self-employed auto body repairman and was a Baptist . He was preceded in death by his first wife, Illa Louise Morris Myers, in 1995. His second wife, Evelyn Jean Halcomb Bloomer Myers, died in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Gary Myers, the county; three brothers, Hugh ‘'Butts'' Myers, Hopkinsville, Alec ‘'Pinky'' Myers, Christian County, C.A. ‘'Doc'' Myers, Trigg County; two sisters, Ida Alice ‘'Allie'' Smith, Hopkinsville, Ruth Thompson, Christian County; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
