In 1894 the Cerulean Springs Hotel sold to John W. Stith for
$12,000. A three story hotel annex was built adjoining the old building
in 1901. the frame structure, built by Capt. R.S. Pool, contained 50 rooms
and featured 760' of porches around the landmark.
