LAYTON ALEXANDER
 
 

CADIZ, Ky. -- Layton Alexander, 82, Cadiz, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, Trigg County. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Dec. 18, 1918, the son of the late Hulett Albert and Harriett Bridges Alexander. He was a heavy equipment operator and school bus driver and was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Joiner Alexander; two sons, Marcellious and Roy Alexander, both of Cadiz; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Lawon) Dixon, Cadiz; two sisters, Eleanor Woods, Cadiz, Martha Dixon, Caldwell County; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
