James Downs died April 20, 1877.
James Downs married (1) November 29, 1837 to Susan Payne.
Susan Payne Downs died Oct. 20, 1838.
one son - Hezekian Downs, born September 15, 1838 - died
October 20, 1838.
James Downs married (2) April 20, 1840, to Amy Outland.
(Hazel's note: born about 1821 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of
Enos Outland and Rhoda Futrell Outland.)
Amy Downs Outland died November 10, 1854.
Their children were:
Mary Jane Downs, daugter of James and Amy Downs was born May
13, 1842
Rhody Elizabeth Downs, daughter of James and Amy Downs was
born Oct. 3, 1844
William Calvin Downs, son of James and Amy Downs was
born Nov. 4, 1848; died September 16, 1868.
James Riggs Downs, son of James and Amy Downs was
born April 5, 1854.
James Downs married (3) September 18, 1855, to Charity
Cohoon.
Their children were:
Thomas Montgomery Downs, son of James and Charity Downs
was born June 20, 1856 - died November 3, 1904
Martha Ann Downs, daughter of James and Charity Downs
was born January 30,
1858.

Martha Ann Wahley died Oct. 27, 1902
Edward Downs, son of James and Charity Downs was born
August 6, 1860.
Edward Downs, son of James and Charity Downs, married
Aug. 3, 1903, to Annie May.
Peach Ann Downs, daughter of James and Charity Downs was
born July 13, 1863

James Downs' Bible October 16, 1981 by Hazel Shaw, Hardin KY 42048. [Hazel
currently lives in a nursing home in Cadiz.] The information in brackets
