Samuel Matthew "Matt" Oliver was the son of Nathan Franklin Oliver and Rebecca Elizabeth Ann Burnam. He was born 2 Jan 1902 and died March 1942 in Trigg County, Ky. He married Miss Beulah Wood daughter of George Washington and Sally Ethel Faughn Wood.
Matt and Beulah resided in Trigg County, Kentucky and were the parents of three children: Lyman Ray who died in infancy, Phadie Aleen and Dorris Owen.
Matt Oliver died in March 1942 with pneumonia and buried at the Oliver Grave Yard.
Beulah Wood Oliver remarried in June 1943 to Alfred Faughn of Trigg County. Beulah and Alfred Faughn had one daughter Bonnie Carolyn Faughn. The family were members of the Hurrican Baptist Church of Trigg County. Beulah died 6 October 1979 in Cadiz, Trigg County, Kentucky and is buried at the Hurricane Church Cemetery.
