Georgie age 21, Thomas age 13, Genettie age 11, Robert age 8 and Nora Lee
age 4. In the KY 1910 census my ggrandmother Lucinda is listed as a
widow living in Livingston Co. with her daughter Nettie, who has married

ggrandfather Thomas had died sometime during the 1900's. My ggrandmother
Lucinda died in Burna and is buried at Edmons in Salem. I have no info

LITTON started to be spelled as LYTTON. My mother, who is Nora Lee's
daughter, has

believes their name was EDMONDS and that there are relatives by that name
still living in Smithland, which I understand to be the general area

moved from SC to Livingston Co Ky late 1790's or early 1800's.
Sarah died shortly thereafter, should be buried in Livingston Co
Ky ?, In 1813 Hezekiah and other Davis families moved to Jackson
Co IL, at the same time his son Van Davis and Mary Ann Carson
Davis moved back south, settled in Franklin Co GA. Their oldest
children were born in KY before moving to GA, John A, Hezekiah
and Robert. Was Mary Ann Carson from KY or did they marry before
the Davis family moved to KY ? Is there a cemetery record of
Sarah A. Davis in KY ? Hezekiah died in Jackson Co IL in 1834
but there is no positive record of where he is buried. Did they
bring him back to Livingston Co KY and bury him with Sarah ?
Is there a census record for 1800 and 1810 showing the Davis
families in Livingston Co KY ? Hezekiah's brothers, Nathan,
Eliphas (Eli), Van, Jr. and possibly others moved with him from
SC, some moving on to other places. I would appreciate hearing

BELL. My gggrandfather was Isaac H Bell, b. 1794, d. 1844 in Pontotoc,
Mississippi. His service record in the War of 1812 is from Capt. William
Smith's Company, Kentucky Mounted Vol. Militia of detached Battalion
commanded by Major Henry Renick. An affidate made to give the power of
attorney to someone to collet his pay refers to Livingston County
Kentucky. It is signed by Enoch Prince, clerk of said county and dated
in 1816. Other information indicates he served in Florida or southern
Georgia. He got a land grant in North West Alabama in early 1830's and
another in Pontotoc County Mississippi in 1836. He married Ann Wilson
ca.1824, probably in Alabama. A will I found, can't find it at this
time, but think it was in Mississippi, leads me to believe he had
brothers named Robert, John, Thomas , and possibly James, sisters Nancy
(Wilson) and Polly (White). This is what I know and assume about him. I
would like to correspond with anyone who may have information on Issac.
Will be glad to pay copying and postage for any and all information.

CAMERON
Lewis Jones' Daughters, Mary & Sarah married, respectively,
(another) Lewis X Jones & George W. Cameron on June 7, 1839.
I find Sarah & George still there, (on page 156) on 1840 cs.
Their Son, Eli, (according to later census) was born in KY
(I can only assume Livingston Co., still) in 1843-44.
I have reason to believe that Sarah died in childbirth or,
at least no later than 1849, because I found George in Ran-
dolph County, AR on 1850 census with Eli, a newborn Henry H.
Cameron (born Jan. 27, 1850), but Sarah was not in the house-
hold. Instead, there was a Susan age 20 (who remained in the
household thru 1860 & 1870 census.
I need to prove that Sarah died in KY and that Susan then
was the Mother of Henry H. Cameron in Jan. 1850 in AR.
Thanks, in advance

Seeking inforrmation on: George W. CAMERON, born circa 1815 in TN (per later census).
He came to Smithland, KY and married Sarah JONES in 1839 and was
there for the 1840 census. Their 1st. Son, Eli CAMERON, was born in
1843-44 in KY (again per later cs).

not there. In the household are George, Eli, A Newborn Henry H. CAMERON
born Jan. 1850 and "SUSAN CAMERON" (?) age 20, born TN. She remaines in
the household through the 1850 cs (Randolph Co.) and 1860 cs (Lawrence
Co.), AR.
MY PROBLEMS:
1. Why did George come to KY? Relatives there? CAMERONS?
2. Did Sarah JONES CAMERON die in childbirth of Eli, or after, and
was buried there in KY?
3. Did Sarah go with George to AR, have the new baby (Henry), and
die in childbirth? I can't locate any record of death or burial.
4. Maybe Henry was not Sarah's baby, but was Susan's by George or -

TINSLEY
My grandfather, Hendrix T. Tinsley, was born in Livingston County about
1890. Family tradition states his mother (probably Cassie Tinsley)
married a man by the name of Theorical (Threlkeld?) and he left her when
she became pregnant. His mother died when he was quite young and an
uncle, Madison Tinsley was said to have adopted him and gave him the
surnane of Tinsley. My grandfather was called Cooper Tinsley all of his
life, a nickname given to him since he worked in a Mr. Cooper's store in
Smithland. My grandfather and his adopted family moved to Mississippi
Co., MO, about 1910. My g-g-grandfather, James M.W. Tinsley, is buried
in the Smithland Cemetery. Where are his wife and daughter buried?
James
had several other daughters. Where are they? Any information would be
greatly appreciated. A mystery has always existed over my grandfather's
parentage. Contact me at 100 14th St., Charleston MO 63834. Thu Jul 17

I am researching the William Thompson family. There were at least 4 generations of Williams in Livingston Co. dating from 1830 with the last one to my knowledge being born 1830 and still living there in 1870. The 3rd generation of Williams had a daughter, Minnie J. that married Elijah Thomas Braswell from Livingston Co. I would welcome any information anyone has or can lead me to. My husband is a direct descendant of Isaac SHELBY, the 1st Gov of KY.
Have a lot of data to share. Have what is probably one of the largest
private collections on the SHELBYs to be had anywhere. There are still
many SHELBYs in KY that have yet to be identified-Boyle/Lincoln;
Livingston, Henderson, Caldwell counties, to name a few.
Many of the SHELBY lines have been corrected and updated. Isaac's mother,
Letitia COX has also been updated.
