Rev. William Chambliss

The Rev. William Chambliss was converted in November 1928, united with the Methodist church at Caseyville in November, 1928; was licensed to preach the gospel in August, 1932.

He has been assistant pastor to several local churches; united with the Sturgis General Baptist church at Sturgis, Ky., in October, 1950; was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Union Association October 17th, 1951; was ordained October 15, 1952.

He is full-time pastor of the Sturgis General Baptist Church, having been called there as pastor two years ago, and called again for the coming year. He has held four revivals; witnessed 82 conversions; baptized 34 candidates. he has also engaged in evangelistic singing for eight years.
