CONCORD CHURCH


Concord church of General Baptists was organized about 1863 with seven members. The first pastor was Elder Absalom Pearce. Other pastors were:


The following ministers have been members of this church: Rev. J. H. Dame, Rev. W. T. Childers, Rev. L. O. Duncan and Rev. Lona Lutz. The church clerks were Robert Rutherford, William Buchannon, Claude Cates, Addie Hall, Flora Owen, and Lizzie Owen.

The church has entertained two Ministers and Deacons meetings, and it has an Evergreen Sunday School. They now have a membership of 150, and plan to erect a new building. The present clerk has been a member for 53 years.
