City Service station located on main street in downtown Marion.
The person in the photo is Audus Raymond Belt (my father). He ran that station (as a one person operation) in the early 1930s.
He seemed always to have an old T-Model and loved cars. I recall him telling me that he quit the staion and went to work for
Kroger and later the Red Front Grocery (which was directtly across the street) for around $6.00 a week.
I don't recall how much he made at the service station. He is buried in Mapleview Cemetery and my mother is now living in
Elizabethtown.
