He enlisted as a Private on September 14, 1861 in Co. E, 48th Illinois Infantry.
He was a resident of Crittenden County, Kentucky at the time of his enlistment.
He mustered out as a Sergeant on August 15, 1865.
He is buried at Piney Fork Cem., Crittenden Co., Ky.
