John Waldrop Sr., 64, Pembroke, died at 3:35 p.m. Thursday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Maddux Funeral Home, Pembroke, with the Rev. Steve Latham officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 Until 9 tonight.
A native of Christian County he was born May 17, 1933, the son of the late Thomas Issac and Pearl Tabor Waldrop. He was a self-employed television repairman, was an Army veteran and a member of the fairview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shella Wyatt Waldrop; a son, John W. Waldrop Jr., Clarksville Tenn.; two dughters, Laura Waldrop Page, Cooksville, Tenn., Lisa Waldrop Brooks, Erin, Tenn.; a brother, Harry Clark Waldrop, Pembroke; a sister, Erline Pace, St. Elmo, and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
