SPURLIN
Mrs. Fannie SPURLIN, a former resident of this county and a widow of the late Alfred SPURLIN, die yesterday morning about 3 am at her late residence in Hopkinsville of a complication of diseases. She had been in feeble health for several years.
She was the daughter of William and Lucinda HUMPHRIES, deceased, of this county and leaves 7 sisters and 1 b rother living as follows: Mrs. John E. BROADBENT,Mrs. R.T. ELLIS, Mrs. M.A. PILKINTON, Mrs. Z.T. TOMPKINS, Mrs. John GOODE, Mrs. Willie STEWART, and Mr. Marcellus HUMPHRIES, all of this county, and Mrs. America VANCE of near Paducah.
She also leaves three children, Mr. Quint SPURLIN of this place, Rev. Lindsay SPURLIN of Christian county, and a little daughter, besides many other relatives and friends to mourn her death. She was about 50 years of age, a member of the Baptist Church and has been a consecrated Christian lady since early life.

Gertie Spurlin, 81, Christian Health Center, died Tuesday afternoon at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Christian Officiating. Burial will be in East End Cemetery, Cadiz.
A native of Cadiz, She was born Dec. 6, 1916, the daughter of the late Grace and Ruth Mitchell Marshall, She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Western State Hospital.
There are no immediate survivors.
