LETHA L. SOWELLLetha Lewis Sowell, 73, Cate Street, died at 3:12 a.m. Sunday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A native of Palmyra, Tenn., she was born July 25, 1923, the daughter of the late George Omer and Maria Powell Lewis. She was a homemaker. Her husband, James Brandon Sowell Sr., died in 1991.
Survivors include four sons, J.B. Sowell Jr., Kenner, La., J.W., Tommy, and Bill Sowell Jr., all of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Betty Underwood, Hopkinsville; a brother, G.O. Lewis, Michigan; a sister, Juanita Wickham, Palmyra; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
