Former Trigg County Lady Dies Near Paducah
End Comes To Mrs. Ad Shoemaker AT the Age of Eight Years
Mrs. Georgia Shoemaker, a former well known Cadiz and Trigg county lady, and wife of G. A. Shoemaker, former Jailer of Trigg county, died last Thursday at the home of a daughter near Paducah.
She was an aunt of Mrs. J. E. Mize and Bud and Will Collie, of the Canton section, and had a number of other relatives and many friends living in Trigg county.
THE PADUCAH NEWS-DEMOCRAT of last Friday says:
Mrs. Georgia Shoemaker, eighty years of age, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jess Nelson, of Lamont. Mrs. Shoemaker is survived by two sons, R. Y. Shoemaker, of Eddyville, and Oscar Shoemaker, of Murray; by three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rickman, of Chicago; Mrs. O. C. Adams, of Paducah and Mrs. Nelson; and by one brother, James Fitzgerald of Paducah.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the chapel of the Roth Undertaking Company with the Rev. Floyd Decker officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn cemetery.
