RUTH E. SHERBUT, 96, 1112 McChesney Ave., Nashville, Tenn. died Friday, September 15, 1989, at Bordeaux Hospital
in Nashville.
Born in Trigg County, Ky., aug 28, 1893, she was a housewife and member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sherbut in 1968, and three step-children, Mary A. Swatzell, Ellen Brison and Thomas Sherbut.
Survivors include a son, Ray Swatzell of Nashville, Tn; two step children, C.T. Sherbut of Paducah, Ky., and Jacob L. Sherbut of Caseyville, Ill; and two brothers, Earl Swatzell of Nashville, Tenn., and Carney Swatzell of Metropolis, Ill.
Fourteen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept 17, 1989, at Morgan'sFuneral Home in Princeton, Ky. The Rev. Nacy Sanders officiated and burial followed in Blue Springs Cemetery in Caldwell County.
