Harold Rasco Died Suddenly
One of City's Most Popular Young Men Dies Suddenly Last Thursday
Harold Rasco, universally popular all over the county and one of Wickliffe's most known young men, died suddenly last Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. of heart trouble of which he had suffered at intervals for the past two years. Harold had only returned to his duties at Mantle's drug store a few days prior to his death, having been severely --- for several days.
He was taken suddenly ill and died before medical aid could reach his side.
No young man ever residing in our midst held a larger share of the esteem and confidence of our people than Harold Rasco and his death will be deeply lamented and deplored.
He was 38 years of age and born and reared in Wickliffe. He had never married and made his home with his widowed mother, Mrs. Miranda Rasco and sister, Miss Flora Rasco. He was gifted with a sunny and generous disposition and counted his friends by the score.
He was a member of the M. E. Church and also a member of Wickliffe lodge M.W.A.
He is survived besides his mother, one sister Miss Flora Rasco.
This is the third child Mrs. Rasco has lost by death during the past three years. A son Ralph Rasco, died about three years ago and his death was followed by that of Miss Erma Rasco, who died suddenly about a year ago. The sympathy of the whole community goes out to the bereaved mother and sister, for truly is their portion sad in the extreme.
The funeral occurred at the family residence Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, with services by Br. M. C. Anderson, with interment following immediately afterward at the city cemetery.
