ROBERT H. OVER
ROBERT H. "Bob" OVER, 66, High Street, died at 2:18 p.m. Saturday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Larry Dale Combs officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A native of Prairie, Ark., he was born Nov 7, 1932, the son of Hazel Dewberry, Clarksville, Ark., and the late Homer Over. He was retired from Civil Service as director, facility engineer supply. He was a Korean War Army veteran who served in the 11th airborne Diviision. His wife, Shirley Ann Hibbs Over, died in 1996.
In addition to his mother, survivors include five sons, Hopkinsville Police Department Maj. Kenny Over, Deputy Sheriff Billy Over, Hopkinsville, Robert Dale Over, Mifflinburg, Pa., Dr. Darrell Over, Pine Bluff Ark., and three daughters, Laurel and Alicia Over and Kathryn trout, all of Hopkinsville; a sister, Lorretta Ritchie, Clarksville, Ark; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
