BROWDER R. MEANS

             NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Browder R. Means, 90,
             Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Hopkinsville,
             died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at his home of
             natural causes.

             Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at
             the Westend United Methodist Church, Nashville.
             Visitation will be prior to the service. The body
             was donated to Vanderbilt Medical Research.

             A native of Hopkinsville, he was born June 10,
             1909, the son of the late W.L. and Harriett Major
             Means. He was a retired salesperson and was a
             Mason. He was a member of the Westend United
             Methodist Church and a former member of the First
             United Methodist Church, Hopkinsville.

             Survivors include his wife, Polly Turberville; a
             son, Randy Means, Nashville; a daughter, Harriett
             Layfield, Nashville, and three grandchildren.

             Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of
             choice.
