Death of A. C. Mayes
Fifty years a Merchant at Princeton and Thirty Years a Justice of the Peace
PRINCETON, KY., - A. C. Mayes, aged seventy years died here this morning at 6 o'clock after a long illness. He was a merchant of this city for forty years, was thirty years agent for the Courier Journal and thirty years a magistrate of Princeton magisterial district. During his thirty years as a magistrate, he only failed to attend the meetings of the Fiscal Court once, and that was during his late illness. The funeral services will take place at the Christian church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock under the auspices of the Masons and Odd Fellow fraternities. The funeral service will e preached by the Rev. J. C. Read assisted by the Rev. C. E. Nourse. The body will be interred in the city cemetery.

Collene MAYES, 61, of Route 4, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Community Methodist Hospital. She was a member of Spottsville Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow; one stepson, Larry MAYS, of Spottsville; three sisters, Hazel CARTER of Spottsville, Mrs. Amos ODOM of Cairo and Allene CLARKSON of Florida; four step-grandchildren and two step- great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moss-Audubon Funeral Home with the Rev. Damon Runyan, the Rev. Bob Dunlop and B. F. Majors officiating.

ROLLY MARION MAYS JR.Rolly Marion Mays Jr., 63, of R. R. 2, died at 9:35 a.m. Monday at Redbanks Nursing Home.
He is a veteran of World War II where he served in the U. S. Navy.
Mays is survived by his wife, Marcella; two sons, Clarence of Corydon and Jerry of Sebree; One daughter, Mrs. Don (Sharon) Amiet, Ohio; two brothers, Emmitt and Woodrow of Henderson; one sister, Mrs. Robert Williams of Spottsville; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with burial in Farimont Cemetery, the Rev. James Lester will officiate. Oct 1980 Henderson Gleaner
