ALICE IRVING
Services for Alice Bell ``Peanut'' Irving, 78, South Clay Street, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Bethlehem Baptist Church, Pembroke, with the Rev. D.A. Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Adams and Sons Mortuary, with visitation with the family set for 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until the services Tuesday at the church.

She died of natural causes at 6:20 a.m. Friday, September 5, 1997, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

A native of Christian County, she was born Oct. 29, 1918, daughter of the late Nathaniel Welch and the late Fannie Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was in the senior choir and Mothers Board. Her husband, Forse Irving, died in 1996.
