Good Colored Citizen Taken By Death
This community regrets the death last Sunday night of Frank Irvin, one of the most useful and respected colored citizens. He was reared in the Wallonia neighborhood and came to Cadiz at the age of 16, and has been employed at the V.B. Alexander Ice and Coal Co; as its foreman ever since. After a week's illness of double pneumonia this faithful employee of the Ice plant, who served the city and county citizenship for 40 years, was buried Tuesday afternoon in Cadiz. I
rvin was a faithful member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church and his friends both white and colored will miss him at his usual post. Surviving are his wife and ten children. Cadiz Record Dec 1944
