Elizabeth Brandon Humphries, 77, Hopkinsville, died Tuesday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of Natural Causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Revs. Robert McKeehan and Billy Joe Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery at LaFayette.
A nativve of Trigg county, she was born July 25, 1920, The daughter of the late John Walter and Lucy Bell Rascoe Brandon. She was a retired teacher, having taught 35 years at South Chrisian, West Side and Belmont schools. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Roaring Spring Christian Church. There are no immediate survivors.

George Warren Humphries Dies Wednesday, March 29
Well known farmer and native son of Trigg county, George Warren HUMPHRIESdied at his home in the Caledonia section last March 29, 1944.He had been in failing health for some time and his death was directly attributed to high blood pressure and kidney trouble.
Mr Humphries was born in Trigg on October 18, 1871 and spent his lifetime in the county. Early in life he united with the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church and was an active member until his death.Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 30 at the Jones Graveyard with the pastor of the Rocky Ridge church officiating.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Felix of Gracey; Thomas of Homes, Tenn; Jewell of the U.S. Armed forces; Walter of Trigg county and two daughters, Mrs Robert Skillion and Mrs Joe Rogers of near Caledonia. Six grand children, three sisters and one brother also survive. Cadiz Record Apr 1944
