In the recent death of Royal Ambassador, John David Higbee, the First Baptist Church loses a promising life. He remembered his Creator in the days of his youth, and used his talents "as he served in his place".

HOPKINSVILLE, 89

Graveside services for Lois Higbee, 89, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on March 17, 2001, at Campbellsville Cemetery.  Parrott and ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Higbee died on March 14 at Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville of natural causes.

Mrs. Higbee was born on October 19, 1911, in Charistian county.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence Keys Sr., and Onie Eli Keys.

Mrs. Higbee was a homemaker and a Methodist.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Higbee; a brother, Clarence Keys Jr; and a sister, Gertrude Comer.

Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Higbee of Cadiz and Douglas R. Higbee of Hendersonville, Tenn; a daughter, Mrs. Max "Barbara" Leach of Campbellsville; a sister, Betty Leigh of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
