Nannie Cavanah Heaton, 86, of Cadiz, died Sunday, June 15, (1997), at 10:25 p.m. at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, following a long illness.
A homemaker and member of Cadiz Methodist Church and Eastern Star, she was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Princeton, a daughter of the late Henry and Nancy Creekmur Cavanah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. W.B. Heaton, who died April 3, 1977; a son, James Patrick Heaton; three brothers, George Cavanah, Henry Cavanah, and Clarence Cavanah, and two sisters, Mary Stromatt and Mackie Pinnegar.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Billy R. and Patsy Heaton of Lexington; two grandchldren, Patsy Andrews and Nancy Nevils, and two great-grandchildren, Samantha Nevils and Josette Nevils.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with Rev. Harry Lewis officiating.
Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz, Ky.
