GASTENVELD
Raymond "Sappy" Gastenveld Sr., 84, of 234 N. Ingram St. died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Redbanks Nursing Home.
He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, a veteran of World War 1, a 60- year member of the Moose lodge, a member of the VFW and a baker for the Kentucky Bakery for 40 years.
He is survived by two sons, Lambert W. and Raymond J., one daughter, Marylin Wood all of Henderson; a sister, Katherine Knapp Haubstadt, Ind.; a brother, Henry of Evansville; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Mane Catholic Church with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7 tonight.
