Mr. George Gardner, age 44, died at his home in the old Ball park addition last Saturday afternoon of pneumonia, following influenza and measles. He is survived by his widow and two sons, to whom we extend our sincere sympathy. Mr. gardner was connected with the Dyeing Department of the Princeton Hosiery Mills, and came here from the Wallonia section of Trigg county. He was a member of the Baptist church, and his funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. Rodolph Lane. The interment was in Cedar Hill cemetery, this city.


LOUIS E. GARDNER

             Louis Eugene Gardner, 81, Wayne Drive, died
             at 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2000, at his
             home following a brief illness.

             Services were this morning at Hughart and Beard
             Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Dr.
             Joseph H. Butler and the Rev. James E. Talley
             officiating. Burial was to be at 3 this afternoon
             (EST) at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church
             Cemetery, Magnolia.

             A native of Magnolia, he was born Aug. 24, 1918,
             the son of the late James and Minnie Ragland
             Gardner. He had retired after 23 years in sales
             with the old C.B. Walker Shoe Co. and was a
             member of the Masonic lodge in Hodgensville. He
             was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian
             Church.

             Survivors include his wife, Margaret McGill
             Gardner; two sons, Jim Gardner, Hopkinsville,
             Gary Gardner, Louisville; a daughter, Sara
             Williams, Dallas, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

             Memorials may be made to the Masonic Widows
             and Orphans Home, Louisville.



RUTH E. GARDNER
Ruth E. "Betty" Gardner, 73, of Oceanside, Calif., died Sunday in California.
She was a former resident of Henderson County.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Cortney of Geneva and Emma Willingham of Henderson; one son, William Wayne Gadner of Escondido, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Edwards of Geneva; twenty-two grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Serviced will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry Cecil officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at Moss Funeral Residence after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
