Lingering Illness Fatal To Mrs. Carl Ezell
Husband and Five Children Are Among The Surviving Relatives
Mrs. Bettie Ezell, wife of Mr. Carl Ezell, died Monday afternoon at the family home on Lower Donaldson, following a lingering illness of many months from cancer of the throat and other complications.
Mrs. Ezell was the daughter of the late Felix G. Coleman and Mrs. Mattie Noel Coleman, and was between forty five and fifty years of age. The husband and five children and two brothers, John and Monroe Coleman are among the surviving relatives.
Mrs. Ezell was a good and kind wife and mother, a devoted neighbor and a woman held in highest esteem by her many friends.
Burial took place Tuesday afternoon at the Ezell grave yard on the farm now owned by Ira Dixon on the Dover road, seven miles west of Cadiz.

Charles Ezell, 62, of Old Hopkinsville Road, Cadiz, died Wed., Nov. 3, 1999 at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, Ky.,
A retired mechanic from Flynn's Enterprise of Hopkinsville and a member of the Baptist Faith, he was born June 13, 1937, in Trigg County, Ky., a son of the late Luther Herman and Dessie Lena Francis Ezell.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ressie Woodruff and Gertrude Lancaster, and a brother, Johnny Preston Ezell, who died in infancy.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Ezell ; a son, Charles Douglas Ezell, Jr., of Christian County ; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Teresa and Lonnie Killebrew and Kristina and Hershel Bush, all of Wallonia, and Shelia Ezell of Pearl City, Hawaii ; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Ann Ennis of Cadiz ; a step-daughter, Margie Ennis of Cadiz ;
Six grandchildren, Jessica Diane Killebrew, Summer Lynn Bush, Charles Lacy Tanner Bush, Chase Steven Ezell and Ashley Rene Ezell ; three step-grandchildren, Brooklyn Page Ennis, Katrian Diann Ennis and James Anthony Bass ; a brother, Roy D. Ezell of Cadiz, and three sisters, Marie Randolph of Hopkinsville, Mary Katie Taylor of Cadiz, and Virginia Hall Of Griffin, Ga.
Funeral services will be conducted Sat., Nov. 6, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev Dan Swartz officiating.
Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres.

The War Department notified Mrs Ollie E. Mize of Route 1 yesterday that her son, Private First Class Jesse F. Ezell, who had previously been reported as missing in action has now been reported as killed in action the 5th of October in France.
Further details concerning this casualty were not obtained at press time.
