Headline:  Mrs. Drennan, who died here today, had 12 hildren and has 62 grand-children living.
Mrs. Henrietta Drennan, one of Taylorville's most highly esteemed ladies, died at four o'clock this morning at her home in the flat above Phillip's clothing store from neuralgia of the heart.  She was in good health until
eight o'clock Thursday night, when she was taken suddenly ill.
Henrietta Wimberly was born in Trigg (sic) County, KY, September 1, 1831 and at her death was aged 80 years, two months and two days.  She lived in Trigg Co. sic) until 1856 when she and her husband, John L. Drennan and four
children came to Illinois in a covered wagon pulled by a team of oxen and settled in Mt. Auburn township.
Her marriage took place in March, 1849, in Caldwell Co. KY.  She was the daughter of Moore and (illegible word, but
her mother was Emily) Rucker Wimberly.  She had one brother and ten half brothers and sisters, seven of whom are surviving, as follows, Thomas Sanders of Aspen, Col.; Laura Sanders of New Mexico; Mrs. Julia Plotts of Omaha, Neb.; John Sanders of Taylorville; Mrs. Matilde (can't read it) of
Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Eli Drennan of Taylorville and Charles Sanders of Los Angeles (sic), Calif.  Twelve children were born to Mrs. Drennan and her husband.  Ten of them are still living, together with 63 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The husband died September 2, 1882, Henry F. Drennan, a son, in 1903, Oscar W. Drennan, another son in 1894.  The
children surviving are:  John G. of Chicago; Mrs. Adelia J. Cole of Spokane, Wash.; Alfred M. Drennan of Taylorville; Frank P. Drennan of Springfield; Mrs. Laura George of Princeton, KY; George B. Drennan of Edinburg; Mrs. Adell Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Cora Scott of Mosquito
township; Jas. L. Drennan of Taylorville; Thomas M. of Los Angeles (sic), Cal.; and Mrs. Charlotte Sniff of Los Angeles (sic).
The funeral services will take place at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, at the Christian church of which the decedent has been a member 50 years.  Rev. M. W. (can't read), the pastor, will officiate and interment will follow in the mausoleum in Oak Hill cemetery.  Mrs. Drennan has lived 55 years in Christian county and in Taylorville 23 years was well known and highly respected.
