DOWNEY
J. J. "Jerry" Downey, Sr., 71, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla.
The former Henderson resident was a member of Jerusalem Lodge Number 9, F.A.M.
He is serviced by his wife, Mary; three sons, Jerry Downey Jr. of Henderson, Robert B. Downey of Melbourne, Fla., and H. C. Downey of Greenville: one brother, Charles of Henderson; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Tapp Funeral home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. David Bratcher officiating. Entombment will be in Fernwood Mauseleum.
Memorials ma take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church.
