EWEL CRISPEwel Crisp Killed in Tree Felling Accident Monday afternoon,
About 4:40 Ewel CRISP, 48, was instantly killed while helping a neighbor Aubrey OAKLEY fell a large tree on Oakley's farm.
The tree had been partially cut through and suddenly gave away, a large limb striking Crisp and killing him instantly. Branches knocked Oakley to the ground but he was uninjured.
Mr Crisp was the son of Richard Crisp and was born in the Mershons Bridge section of Trigg county.
He was united in marriage to Miss Mertie THOMPSON and to this union were born two children both of whom survive.
At the age of 16 he united with the Liberty Point Baptist Church and remained an outstandingly loyal member until his death.
Funeral services were held last Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. from the Liberty Point Baptist Church and were conducted by a neighbor and life long friend, Wade Cunningham. Burial was made at the Pamelia Boyd Burial ground near his birthplace of Mershon's Bridge.
Mr Crisp, throughout his life was an outstanding citizen in his community and friends all over the county are distressed over his untimely death. He ever stood ready to render service and was a willing worker whenever called upon.
He is survived by his wife, parents, one son Woodrow Crisp, and one daughter, Mrs Plomer Wilson both of Trigg county. Five grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs Sam Woods, Mrs Eska Cunningham, Mrs Jesse Gray of Cadiz and Mrs Harvey
Berkley of Detroit, Mich also survive. Pallbearers were Archie Thompson, Sam Wood, Chestly Crisp, Carlton Sanders,
John Kirby and Henry Atwood.

JESSE RAY CRISPJESSE RAY CRISP, infant son of Mr and Mrs Willie J. Crisp, died Monday night at nine o'clock at the home of the
parents of Mr. Crisp, where they reside. Flu followed by complications caused the death.
The little fellow was one year, three months and ten days of age and was a bright little man and the idol of fond parents and a pet with many.
Dr. W.E. Mitchell conducted the funeral Monday afternoon and the burial followed at East End Cemetery. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of their many friends in their hour of grief and sorrow.
