ALVIN LEO COOKE

Services for Alvin Leo Cooke, 62, Fruit Hill, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at
Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse S. Bell and the Rev. Albert
Evans officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Cooke died Wednesday evening, March 26, l975, at his farm after suffering
an apparent heart attack.

A native of Christian County, he was born February 17, 1913, son of Charles
E. and Eula Davis Cooke, Route 2, Crofton, Ky.

He was a farmer and deputy state fire marshal and was a member of Pleasant
Hill Baptist Church. His first wife Mrs. Lorene West Cooke died in 1962.

Survivors in addition to his widow Pauline Byrd Cooke: one daughter Mrs. Joan
McCarty, Macon, Ga. one stepdaughter, Mrs. Sara Johnson, Nashville, Tenn. two
brothers: Lawrence and Wayne Cooke of this city, one sister Mrs. Shirley
Patterson, Paducah, one sister proceeded him in death, Mrs. Thelma Cooke
Calvin and two grandchildren: Joseph Todd McCarty and Jennifer Cruse.

Charles Cook

Services for Charles Ethel Cook, 87, Route 2 Crofton, will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Bullock and Dorian
Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Cook died Sunday, May 5, 1978, at Jennie Stuart Hospital.

A Christian County native, he was born Sept. 9, 1890, the son of A. R. and
Mildred Allison Cook. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Eula Davis Cook; two sons, Lawrence and Wayne
Cook, both of the city; one daughter; Shirley Patterson, Paducah; son, Alvin
Leo Cooke who preceded him in death in 1975, one brother, Walter H. Cook,
Bluff Springs: five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

Eula Lee Davis Cook

Eula Lee Davis Cook, 86, Fruit Hill community, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday,
April 3, 1983, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center after a long illness.

Services will be a 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Malcolm
Scott and Adrian Stamps officiating and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, she was born August 24, 1896, the daughter of
the late Silas Huston and Alice Lee Moore Davis. She was a member of Bluff
Springs Church of Christ, Christian County, Ky.

Her husband, Charles Ethel Cook, died in 1978; a son, Leo Cook, died in
1975;and a daughter, Thelma Cook Calvin, died in 1944.

Survivors include 2 sons, Lawrence and Wayne Cook, both of Hopkinsville; one
daughter Shirley Patterson, Paducah; one sister, Mrs. William (Maebell)
Saturley, Gracey; five grandchildren; six step-gtandchildren, and 27
great-grandchildren.

Fannie Morris Cook, 82, Hopkinsville, Ky.
Died Thursday 16 January 1958 in her home.
Born 25 April 1875 in Christian Co.
Husband died in 1939.
Survivors: daughter, Miss Alva Cook; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Marquess and Mrs. Leona Marquess, all of Hopkinsville.
Services: Saturday 18 January 1958, burial in Riverside Cem. Fuqua Funeral Home.

Lonnie "Dump" Cook, 83, of Bush Road, Cadiz, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.
A retired farmer and member of Wallonia Christian Church, he was born Dec. 8, 1915, in Trigg County, a son of the late Fred W. and Martha Gardner Cook.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Murphey Cook in 1985; two brothers, John Cook and Orbie Cook, and a sister, Ruby Boaz.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 29, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev. Jon Daniels officiating.
Burial followed in Adams Cemetery in Trigg County.



Mrs. Leo Cooke

Mrs. Leo Cooke, the former Lorene West, died early this morning (November 23, 1962) at Jennie Stuart Hospital. She had been  hospitalized yesterday and apparently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

A resident of Crofton, Route 2, Mrs. Cooke was the daughter of Tom and Flora
Hord West.

Funeral services will be at 1p.m. tomorrow at Fuqua Funeral Home with burial
to be in Riverside Cemetery. She was a member of the Fruit Hill Baptist
Church.

Pallbearers will be Clifton Jordan, Ernest Crenshaw, Edward Cooksey, Lawrence
Cook, Wayne Cooke and Dorris James.

Survivors include her husband Alvin Leo Cooke: a daughter Mrs. Joan McCarty,
1306 Cherry Street, city, two brothers Garland West and Lawson West both of
the county, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ruby West Combs, Madisonville Road,
Hopkinsville, Ky.

Merivale Cook

Merivale Cook, 90, Hillaire Drive, died at 4:53 A.M. Saturday Dec. 6, 2008 at Morningside of Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Services will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday at Lamb Funeral Home with Ken Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, she was born March 8, 1918, the daughter of the late Nile and Flossie Pugh Newton.

Her husband, Lawrence E. Cook died in 1997.

She was a bookkeeper and a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son Robin L. Cook, Haubstadt, Indiana, a daughter Mary Helen Hale, Christian Co. Ky. and 5 grandchildren.
