FORMER COUNTY LADY DIES IN INDIANA
Last Rites In Evansville Tuesday For Mrs. Lewis Cain
Death came to Mrs. Alpha Lou FAUGHN CAIN at her home in Evansville Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock following a
lingering illness from a cancer.
Even though she had been in poor health for several months it was not until five weeks ago that she became critical.
The daughter of the late James Benjamin Faughn and Mrs. Annie Faughn of Trigg County she was born September 19, 1908 in the Siloam community of this county. She spent most of her life in that community.
In 1926 she was married to Lewis Cain who survives. To this union two sons were born, Luther Cain of Evansville, Ind and Robert D. Cain who is serving with the U.S. Air corps and stationed at Walter Field, Texas.
Mrs. Cain professed faith in Christ and united with the
Siloam M.E. church some 25 years ago. She was an active member of the church until she moved to Evansville a few years ago.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Wesley Methodist Church in Evansville,
with the Rev. R.M. Taylor officiating.
In addition to her sons and husband survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Thomas Freeman of Evansville, Ind., Mrs. Eliza Malone, Mrs. Mary Morris of Princeton and Mrs. Lloyd Allen of this city; three brothers, Adolphus, Zan and Alfred of Trigg County, one grandson, Anthony Wayne Cain of Evansville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville. Among those from this county attending the funeral were: Mrs. James Gray, Mr and Mrs. Dave Wright, Mr and Mrs. Lloyd Allen, Mrs. Annie Faughn, Zan Faughn, Adolphus Faughn, Mr and Mrs. Alfred Faughn and daughter, Carolyn, Earl Williamson, Mr and Mrs. Sam Bush, Mr and Mrs. Ragon Russell, Morris Cain, Clifton Cain, Mr and Mrs Carl Cain, Mr and Mrs. Henry Cain.

Mr. Carl James CAIN, 75, 232 Mimi Street, Cadiz, Ky died Thursday Aug 10, 1989, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Born in Trigg County, Ky., May 12, 1914, he was the son of the late Fetus CAIN and Ermine BUSH CAIN.
He was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church and a member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge, No 121.
He was retired and had worked at the Cadiz Water Department.
Survivors include his wife, EVANGELINE JONES CAIN of Cadiz, two sons, James Harold Cain of Draffenville, Ky and Ronald Jones Cain of Cadiz, Ky; two brothers, Clifton Cain of Guthrie, Ky.,and Louis Cain of Evansville, Ind; and two sisters, Mrs. Meddie Russell and Mrs. Johnnie Bush, both of Cadiz, Ky. Four grandchildren also survive. They are James Anthony Cain of Draffenville, Ky; Craig Allen Cain of Fairdealing, Ky., Brett Dewayne Cain of Bowling Green, Ky; and Cynthia Lynn Cain of Knoxville, Tn. Also surviving is a great grandson, Zackrey James Cain of Fairdealing, Ky.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday August 12, 1989, at Goodwin Funeral HOme. The Rev. Ronnie Sivells and the Rev. Bobby Light
Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Bush, Robert Bush, Charles Bush, Travis Bush, Carloss Bush and Lexie Bush. Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Bush, Bill bush and Bob Bush. Special music was presented b y jess and Vicki Ezell, duet, and Mae Perdue, organist.
