Pennyrile Deaths April 5, 1999
Alphonso Lincoln “Slick” Bradley, 91, Crofton, died at 7:50a.m. Sunday at the Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, of natural causes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Princeton Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Quarles officiating. Burial will be in Foster Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight.

His funeral will be a joint service with a cousin, Lester R. Bradley, 95, also of Crofton, who died Wednesday. (The obituary for Lester Bradley appeared in Saturday’s newspaper.)

A native of Crofton, Aiphonso Bradley was born April 28, 1907, the son of the late Richard and Melissa Sharber Bradley. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Princeton Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Ann Bradley, Crofton; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


LESTER R. BRADLEY
Lester R. Bradley, 95, Crofton, died at 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at the Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville of natural causes.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Princeton Street Baptist Church in Crofton, with burial to follow in Foster Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A Crofton native, he was born June 24, 1903, the son of the late Willie Bradley and Katie G. Bradley. He was a deacon and trustee at Princeton Street Baptist Church and was retired from Crofton Ford Motor Co. where he was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred B. Killebrew Bradley.

Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Holley, Mount Clemons, Mich. and Celestine Adams, Crofton; three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
