James Cordy Bowling, 91, Hopkinsville, Ky.
Died Friday 5 March 1943 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George M. Clark.
Born in Christian Co. 30 July 1852, the sixth of ten children born to Jesse W. and Louisa Kesterson Bowling and the last survivor of the family.
As a young man he taught school and later was in the grocery business in Crofton where he lived for 50 yrs. Member of the Universalist Church. Married Victoria Croft who died more than 20 yrs. ago.Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Wess of Chicago, Mrs. J. Mack Croft of Crofton and Mrs. Clark of Hopkinsville; grandson, James Edmund Croft; three granddaughters; number of nieces and nephews.
Services: Saturday 6 March 1943, burial in Riverside Cem.

LIZZIE BOWLINGA Special from Russellville to yesterday's Courier -Journal says : "News was received here yesterday of the death of Miss Lizzy Bowling, daughter of the late Judge R.C. Bowling, of this place. Miss Bowling, was visiting her aunt at Seaside Island, New York, and died after a short illness on the 31 st.

POWELL EUGENE BOWLINGWOOD RIVER, Ill. - Powell Eugene Bowling, 49, formerly of Henderson, died Saturday morning at Christian North East Hospital in St. Louis. He was an employee of McDonnell Douglas corp.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Sue of Louisiana; two sons, David and Don, both of Wood River; four brothers, Roger of Evansville, Robert, Larry and Sherman Jr., all of Henderson; six sisters, Beulah Chadwell, Elaine Bassett, Barbara Powers and Nina Chavez, all of Henderson, Marty Dixon of Rosewood Height, Ill., and Susie Pearman of Indianola, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 a.m. Wednesday at Marks Funeral Home in Wood Rive, with burial in Wanda (Ill.) Cemetery.
