Mother A Former Trigg Countian and Mrs. William Dew An Aunt Of Dead Man
Young Lindsay Bagwell of Stewart county, Tenn., was killed a few days ago by a train at granite City, Illinois.
The young man was a son of the late Alex Bagwell, in his day a prominent citizen of our neighbor county. The mother of the young man was a Trigg county lady, being a Miss Reese, south of town. Mrs. Reese who lived for years near Dyers Chapel was the grand mother. Mrs. Zarilda Dew , of Blue Spring section is an aunt of the young man and he has other relatives in the county, where he was known to many of our people.
In speaking of his death, the following brief notice is a special from Clarksville clipped from the NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN:
Funeral services were held this afternoon at Big Rock, Stewart county, for Lindsay Bagwell, son of Alex Bagwell, of that community, who was killed by a train in granite City, Ill., on Friday. The body arrived here Sunday morning. Details of young Bagwell's death are lacking in word so far received by relatives. He had been in granite City less than a month.
