Young Phil Baber Dies In Louisville
Remains Of Former Trigg County Young Man Brought Back For Burial
Phil Baber, a young man who formerly resided in Trigg county, died Sunday night in Louisville following an illness of ten days of pneumonia.
The young man had been living in Louisville for a year or more with his uncle, George Bogard, formerly of Golden Pond, and now vice president of the Kentucky Utility Company. The young man held a position with the company.
He was the son of Charles Baber, the mother now deceased being Miss Dollie Bogard of Golden Pond, before her marriage. He was eighteen years of age and a splendid young man with a very bright future.
The remains were brought back to Trigg county and buried Tuesday at the grave yard in Golden Pond. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Luther Sanders of Cadiz, and a large crowd of sorrowing friends and loved ones were present.
An only sister, Miss Hugh Baber resides with an aunt, Mrs. Ernest Fooshee, in Paducah.
