GOLDIE ALVESGoldie Alves. 70, 500 Plum St., died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Redbanks Nursing Home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Senior Chorus, Rebekah Chapter No 7 order of Eastern Star Horace Temple and Elks Lodge 333.
She is survived by her husband, Giles; one sister, Mattie Smith of Henderson; four aunts, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Gains Funeral Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lum Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
