HILDERGARD ALMY

Hildergard Kathy Kuschel Almy, age unavailable, Apache Drive, died at about 6:30 p.m. Monday (Oct. 28, 1996) at her home following a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 Wednesday night.

A native of Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ella Kuschel. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir for more than 20 years, and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Frank H. Almy; a son, Thomas Almy, Lebanon, Tenn.; a sister, Elly Traufell, Stutgardt, Germany and two grandchildren.

Cremation burial services for Joseph Earl Almy, age unavailable, and Juanita Martin Almy, age unavailable, both of Panama City Beach, Fla., formerly of Hopkinsville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Almys died separately earlier this year of natural causes in Panama City Beach.

MARGUERITE ALMY

Marguerite P. Almy, 81, Sterling Drive, died at 7:56 p.m. Thursday (April 10, 1997) at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Revs. Drs. James M. Mahoney and J. Brooks Major officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight.

A native of Christian County, she was born July 25, 1915, the daughter of the late Lucian W. and Bertha Clark Pendleton. She was a retired clerical worker for Thomas Industries. She was a charter member and deaconess at Millbrooke Christian Church. Her husband, George Ford Almy, died in 1985.

Survivors include a son, William D. Almy Sr., Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Dave (Mary P.) Whitaker, Hopkinsville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



NELLIE L. ALMY

Nellie Lee Tresch Almy, 97, Pinecrest Manor, died at 2:54 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Christian County, she was born Feb. 17, 1904, the daughter of the late Walter P. and Mary Leona Drake Tresch. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. Her husband, George H. Almy, died in 1956. Three sons, Ford, Paul and Thomas J. Almy, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, James E. Almy, West Palm Beach, Fla., Frank H., Herbert H., Charles D. and Eugene Almy, all of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Christine Webb, Hamilton, Ohio, Betty J. Kenney, Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers, J.W. and Joe Tresch, both of California, Thomas Tresch, Hopkinsville; a sister, Pauline Gilkey, Hopkinsville; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
