Gertrude S. Adkins, 71, died at 4:20 A.M. Thursday at Owensboro Mercy Hospital.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene D; three daughters, Katherine Druen of Hawesville and Nora Powers and Rita Alexander, both of Lewisport; a son, Larry D of Rockport, Ind; three brothers, Charles Stewart of Hawesville, George Stewart Jr., of Lewisport and Kenneth Stewart of Hialeah, Fla. 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a stepgreat grandchild.
Services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday at Union Baptist Church new Hawesville, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call any time today and until service time Sunday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville.

LANCASTER, Ohio -- Ryan E. Adkins, 16-day-old son of Todd and Cindy Adkins of Lancaster, died Sunday at Ohio State
University Hospital in Columbus.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his grandparents, Charles and Donna Adkins of Raceland, Ky., and Wayne and Rita Overton of DeBary, Fla.; and Great-grandmothers, Irene Overton of Henderson and Edith Sparks of Ashland.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society in Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
