Funeral services for Erve Henry Childress Jr., 65, of Route 5, Princeton, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Morgan's Funeral Home by Rev. Wallis Gray.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ( Princeton, Ky.)
Mr. Childress died Monday, July 10, at Regional Medical Center at Madisonville after a short illness.
A native of Caldwell County, he was born October 23, 1923, a son of the late Erve Henry Childress, Sr. and the late Zora White Childress.

He was a World War Two veteran, a charter member and trustee of North Side Baptist Church, and an employee of B. N. Lusby Plumbing Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Oliver Childress; two sons, David Childress and Jeff Childress, both of Caldwell County; three daughters, Bonnie Dalton, Connie Crossett, and Betty Thorpe, of Eddyville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Grace Byard and Mrs. Blondell Jenkins, both of Princeton.
A brother, J. T. Childress, preceded him in death.

Bearers will be Tim Thorpe, Chuck Crossett, Spec. James Dalton, Matthew Dalton, Jason Crossett and David Childress.
